Norte Beach

Peñíscola's northern beach is the closest beach to the historic Old Town. It is a large, attractive beach in a spectacular setting, with Pope Luna's Castle as a backdrop. Five kilometres of fine sand make it the most popular beach in the municipality.
One of the main features of the beach is how well looked after it is and the quality of its water, owing to security and rescue teams and lifeguard stations dotted along its five well-signposted kilometres. It is also equipped with walkways, facilities for persons with reduced mobility, telephones, a cleaning service, bins and deckchair and parasol rental.
You can enjoy a lovely stroll along the vast seafront promenade, lined with palm trees, and admire the the City in the Sea's crowning glory, the Templar Castle rising up above. In addition,
Peñíscola's Playa Norte is also ideal for sailing, canoeing, paddleboating and jet skiing.
Due to its wide array of facilities, the beach has garnered several awards, including Blue Flag status, the "Q" flag for quality from the Spanish Institute for Quality Tourism, the "green" award from AENOR, the Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification, and the "Qualitur" flag from the Valencian Tourist Office, all of which serve to illustrate the quality, management and excellent service on offer at Peñíscola's Norte Beach.
